Project: 18-Story Hospital Operational Readiness & Clinical Launch Role: Senior Instructional Designer & Project Lead
Role: Project Lead Education Designer
The Challenge (KPI Driven): Scoped and designed the training framework for 6,000 staff to ensure a 100% "safe-to-open" status for an 18-story facility. The project required mapping thousands of technical workflows across hardware and software with zero margin for error.
The Solution (Full-Scope Development): I led a small team of 8 while remaining "hands-on" in the design of the blended curriculum. I managed the storyboard development, vetted vendor content, and designed the "Super User" training model. I also facilitated 12-hour training intensives and coordinated three massive live simulations (up to 2,000 participants) to stress-test the training's effectiveness.
The Result (ROI): 100% regulatory compliance and successful facility launch. Training was the only department to pass all stress tests on the first attempt, directly preventing costly delays to the hospital's opening.
Curriculum Design: Created 12+ scenario-based workflows for Registered Nurses, including medication dispensing and emergency response.
Blended Elements: Developed hands-on checklists for use with Phillips monitors, Omnicell systems, and code carts.
Regulatory Rigor: Designed all materials to meet strict hospital safety and "must-pass" simulation standards.
